My grandmother\u2019s stories ignited a limitless future in my mind\u2014I believed that anything was possible. A survivor of occupation, devastation and reconstruction after war, her stories also spoke of pushing through hardship through acts of kindness. Writing is a sacred path. A way to acknowledge life\u2019s complexities and inspire a more hopeful future, my characters portray strength in mind, body and spirit and model courage through kind, thoughtful behavior.
